Hey guys! So two days ago, I spontaneously decided to get a tattoo. I know what your thinking, “not a good impulsive decisions…”. BUT, I have always known that I wanted this specific tattoo. I just never planned on WHEN to get it. So really, the only impulse was the timing!
So on to the story:
I was enjoying a coffee date with a few of my favorite people (Nikki, Kat, and Fig), when we started to talk about tattoos. Nikki has always been my inspiration when it comes to bravery and adventurous excursions, so naturally my first thought and words were, “LETS GO GET A TATTOO!”. And following, “No seriously, I want to go get one.” So we promptly left and ended up at Planet Ink where my artist, Rich, helped me to end my indecisiveness on fonts and size. An hour after arrival to the planet of inkiness, my arm was forever imprinted on with the words from my favorite artist and poet, Matthew Healy.
I dont regret it one bit, if anything I am more excited than I was beforehand with my new “faux birth mark”. The pain was very tolerable (especially with the line needle) and it simply feels like a scratch now. If you’re thinking about getting one, I say go for it! But of course, I love art, and I don’t mind having it on me permanently. (If you’re bothered by writing on yourself with a sharpie, I don’t recommend it).
SO HERE IT IS, my lovely little line of personal poetry.
